Rena's Promise: A Story of Sisters in Auschwitz

Rena's Promise: A Story of Sisters in Auschwitz - Heather Dune Macadam, Rena Kornreich Gelissen Probably one of the best Holocaust memoirs I've ever read, and an inspiration. The author and her sister were among the earliest prisoners of Auschwitz, and despite the number years they spent there enduring selections and hunger and disease they still survived. The writing is eloquent and visual.
